Edward Mooney, Jr., was born in Massachusetts and raised in California. He currently lives in western Colorado.
After a few years working in computers, Edward taught high school science and social studies. Along the way he coached American football, mock trial and ran an on-campus television station. In 2010 he was named the State Teacher of the Year for California by the Daughters of the American Revolution.
In 2017, Edward moved to the Glenwood Springs area of western Colorado. Between 2014 and 2017 he was a college professor of education in Northern California. He holds the degrees of Doctor of Education, Master of Arts, and Bachelor of Science. He is licensed to teach in California, Colorado and Oregon.
While he has written since childhood, he started his professional journey in 1992. His current books include "The Pearls of the Stone Man" and "The Journey of the Stone Man". The final book of the trilogy, "The Hope of the Stone Man", was released on May 25, 2016. His first manuscript, "Toy Jeeps", is expected to re-release in the near future.
On the personal side, Edward enjoys computers, camping, maps, flags, and spending time with loved ones. He likes chocolate, ice cream, Italian food, Mexican food and cookies. His newest hobby is calorie counting (you can see why).
